In Dallas, they shared their idea for Shoreline City with 17 people in their living room, and together, they worked to create a thriving church in the city.
The foundation of Shoreline City Church was a Bible study in a nursing facility, and as it grew, they began meeting at the Angelika movie theater. The grand launch of Shoreline City Church took place on January 22, 2012, with over 500 people in attendance. They later moved to a larger building on Northwest Highway and eventually purchased the White Rock location.
In March 2016, services began at White Rock, and now about 5,000 people consider Shoreline City their “home.” They started a Bible study in Antigua, Guatemala, in 2016, and by 2017, it had grown into a full Sunday service. Currently, Shoreline has campuses in Guatemala City, Plano, and the Bishop Arts District of Dallas.
Oneka is also the founder of the Sisterhood, a women’s ministry.
