Before i proceed i would like you to know that the joint admissions and matriculation board (JAMB) do allow candidates to choose or make four different choices during JAMB registration and out of these choices, only two are valid which are first choice and second choice. First choice is the process of choosing an institution you are aspiring for as your first choice while second choice is the process of choosing an institution you desired to aspire for as second choice.

Is It All Institutions That Accept Second Choice?
No, not all institutions accept second choice candidates for admission. Some federal universities, state universities, federal polytechnics and state polytechnics do not accept second choice.
Can My Second Choice Offer Me Admission?
Yes, your second choice can offer you admission depending on the institution you are aspiring for. But if you are aspiring for some federal universities like OAU, UNN, FUTO, FULOKOJA, FUOYE, FUTMINNA, FUTA, UNILORIN, ABU, UNIABUJA, and UI your second choice cannot offer you admission into these universities.
Also in some Federal Polytechnics like YABATECH, Federal Polytechnic Ede, Federal Polytechnic Offa, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Auchi Poly, your second choice cannot offer you admission.
Your second choice can offer you admission in some private universities, private polytechnics, colleges of Education, state universities and some state polytechnics.
