Pastor Rich, whose full name is Richard Peterson Wilkerson Jr., comes from a strong Christian background with four generations of pastors on both sides of his family. His second cousin was David Wilkerson, the author of the Christian classic “The Cross and the Switchblade.”
His parents, Robyn and Rich Wilkerson Sr., lead Trinity Church, a megachurch in Miami affiliated with the Assemblies of God. However, Rich didn’t experience a connection with God until he was 17. This encounter marked the beginning of Rich’s surrender and commitment, not just following Jesus, but answering the call.
