List of Illegal Universities in Nigeria by NUC 2023

MySchoolPlug would like to bring to the attention of the broader public, particularly parents and potential undergraduate students, that the National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria has officially issued a roster of unaccredited universities in Nigeria that are not authorized to confer degrees. The list is as follows:

Aside from the closures, the subsequent Degree Mills are presently under additional scrutiny and/or are subject to ongoing legal proceedings. The objective of these measures is to bring the proprietors to justice and retrieve unauthorized fees and charges from their clients.

To clarify without uncertainty, individuals who engage with or acquire certificates from any of these unaccredited institutions are doing so entirely at their own peril. Certificates acquired from these establishments will not hold legitimacy for NYSC, employment opportunities, or advanced education.

The appropriate law enforcement agencies have also been notified, and they are taking the requisite steps accordingly.
